VOXSPORTS finds out more about Harun -

VS: Running in pitch darkness for the Energizer Singapore Night Trail 2011 was not easy, how did you prepare for it?

H: I had to prepare myself both mentally and physically. Physical preparation wise, I always go for short runs around my school compound. I also run regularly from Tampines to Pasir Ris which helped me prepare for the night trail. I have also taken part in other runs such as the Yellow Ribbon Marathon, Army Half Marathon and Run for Water 6KM Marathon. These runs help to prep me in knowing what to expect mentally in a run. It helped to remain focused on my goal of accomplishing the race within 2 hours.

VS: What is the most difficult challenge being a student athlete?

H: Time management. I give priority to my school work and balance my time by engaging in sports after school hours.

VS: If you could have a super power, what would it be?

H: Power to heal people. I wish I had the power to heal the world of all the suffering that people go through. To relief the financial burdens of people and provide help to the less fortunate.
