CSKA Moscow maintained their two-point advantage at the top of the Premier Liga
with a 2-0 victory at basement side Spartak Nalchik.
Seydou Doumbia scored the opener after 19 minutes with Sergei Ignashevich
sealing the win from the penalty spot midway through the second half.
Zenit St Petersburg kept up the pressure on the leaders with their own 2-0 win
over Volga Nizhny Novgorod. Alexander Kerzhakov scored both goals for the
visitors after nine and 19 minutes.
Rubin Kazan climbed up to third after beating Rostov 3-1, although they left it
late. The visitors went in front through Igor Lebedenko in the 15th minute only for
Dmitri Kirichencko to level with a penalty five minutes into the second half.
That looked to have earned Rostov a point, but Alexander Ryazantsev struck
eight minutes from time to restore Rubin’s lead and Sergey Kisliak added some
shine to the win in the dying seconds.
Dinamo Moscow also gained some ground with a 3-0 win over Tomsk which lifted
them into the top four. Alexander Samedov, Kevin Kuranyi and Aleksandr Kokorin
were all on target in the first half.
A goalless draw at home to Amkar Perm saw Anzhi Makhachkala slip to fifth,
while Lokomotiv Moscow also tumbled down the table with a 2-0 loss against city
rivals Spartak.
Goals from Zhano Ananidze and Sergio Rodri in as many minutes at the end of the
first half saw off the challenge of Lokomotiv, who also had Marinato Guilherme
sent off after 58 minutes.
Krasnodar overcame the dismissal of Nemanja Tubic to claim a 1-0 win over local
rivals Kuban, Nikola Drincic grabbing the only goal after 67 minutes.
Terek Grozny were 2-0 winners over Krylya Sovetov thanks to strikes in each
half from Aleksandr Pavlenko and Shamil Asildarov, the latter coming from the
penalty spot.
