Bryan Loh Jian Hua single-handedly led Ngee Ann Polytechnic to top the table with their second consecutive win after sealing off the fate of ITE East with 30-25 score-line. Despite having only one player on the bench, Ngee Ann Poly grabbed an early 4-point lead, only to be leveled 8-all at the quarter mark of the match. They went into the break with a 2-point lead and maintained status quo throughout the seond-half.

Bryan Loh (Ngee Ann Poly) came out as top scorer for his team with an amazing 13 goals, but second only to ex-YOG 2010 Singapore Handball player, Muhd Zahin from Singapore Polytechnic (SP), who blasted home two goals more than him.

In an earlier game, ITE East took yet another huge blow from SP after being dominated 19-38. Led by Muhd Zahin, SP broke down ITE East defence with a barrage of 9-meter shots that left the ITE East goalkeeper an uphill task to stop all the shots. SP players also had physical advantage over ITE east, rendering them harder to be stopped.

Star player, Koh Jing Li from ITE Central faced difficulties when being tightly man-marked by fellow ex-YOG teammate, Izzat Hashim. Temasek Polytechnic led 6-1, but the score was closed down to 7-6 when TP saw two of their teammates sent to the sideline to serve their 2-minute suspensions. Both teams were neck-to-neck at half-time with the score board indicating 9-9. The second half saw TP varying their attacking formation to give them the lead while the exhausted Jing Li missed a bundle of scoring opportunities. ITE Central’s battle was over the moment three of their players were handed 2-minute suspensions, with seven minutes left.

TP proved to too hard for Jing Li and goalkeeper Brian Yeu to handle as the final whistle sealed their fate with an 11-20 loss.
