The latest round of Barclays Premier League fixtures has thrown up some intriguing fixtures.
The programme kicks off with Arsenal’s visit to Blackburn Rovers.
At 3pm Aston Villa host Newcastle United, Norwich City go to Bolton Wanderers and Wigan Athletic make the short journey to Everton.
Swansea City take on West Bromwich Albion at the Liberty Stadium and Queens Park Rangers go to Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Blackburn are still searching for their first win of the campaign but are buoyed by a decent 1-1 draw at Fulham, their only point from four fixtures.
Arsenal have not won any of their last five away matches but have lost only one of their last five Premier League visits to Ewood Park, winning three.
The Gunners have struggled for form so far this season but bounced back from the 8-2 defeat at Manchester United to claim their first Barclays Premier League victory of the season with a 1-0 success against Swansea City.
Both sides have made unbeaten starts to the new campaign.
Seven of the last eight meetings have finished as home wins with Villa chalking up a 1-0 success in last season’s corresponding fixture.
Newcastle have not won at Villa Park since their 2-1 success in February 2006.
Norwich are still looking for their first win back in the Barclays Premier League.
The Canaries have lost their last five visits to Bolton where they have not won in seven attempts since their 1-0 success in March 1982 in the old Second Division.
The Trotters have lost both home fixtures this season, but they have been against the two Manchester sides and manager Owen Coyle has threatened changes after his side’s 5-0 hammering by United.
Everton hunt their first home win of the campaign while Wigan seek a first away success.
The Latics have not won in five visits to Goodison Park since September 2005 winning just one and drawing four of their 11 meetings since.
Both of last season’s meetings finished all-square with the corresponding fixture ending goalless.
Swansea are still searching for their first goal in the Barclays Premier League but have drawn both home matches 0-0.
West Brom chalked up their first win of the campaign at Norwich last week and hope to follow that up with another away success at promoted opposition.
These sides have met only twice in the league since 1993, both Championship fixtures finishing in away wins in 2009/10.
Wolves aim to bounce back after suffering their first home defeat of the season while QPR are now finding their feet following their takeover which saw an influx of new players.
This is the sides’ first top-flight meeting since January 1984. Since then Rangers have won only one and drawn three of their 10 league visits to Molineux.
When they met in the Championship in 2008/09, both matches finished as 1-0 home wins.
