Tampines Sports Hall – The value of sportsmanship is vital in every game, in every athlete. What was displayed in this game by RP Salibandy and Singapore School Boys was a beautiful balance of adrenaline and temper.
Initially leading at 2:Nil, Singapore School Boys had a comfortable lead over RP Salibandy. That was when hot-blooded individuals allowed their temper to take over, resulting in a fight. Players were injured and coarse languages were heard. Coaches, captains and referees controlled the situation well, allowing the game to continue.
What followed was then a beautiful game of sportsmanship. Both sides played to their very best, with RP Salibandy catching up to a score of 3:2. This adrenaline pumping game of respect ended with a nice twist – at a tie of 5:5. A salute to both teams for their quick recovery and respect for the game!
