Tournament favorites Waseda University lived up to their reputation as they defeated the Korean National Sport University 13-11 in the finals of the Asian University Waterpolo Championships 2010, held at the National University of Singapore.
The Japanese stood firm in their defense
Despite trailing at the start of the match, Waseda soon found their rhythm and surged into an unsurmountable lead in the final quarter. Although the Koreans staged a brave comeback in the final minutes of the last quarter, it was too little too late as the Japanese were the victors of the day.
